Iron Man Is My Spirit Animal

dsc_0678
Hey there!

I was once again given the opportunity to test Lip Smacker’s products🙂

This time I was given the Marvel Mega Balm Bundle, which, I must say, is awesome! The last one I’ll be reviewing is the Holiday Iron Man Biggy.

The Iron Man one is a chocolate flavor.

The color of the balm is light red-ish brown and is the size of a pepper spray! Also, IRon Man is the the bomb. No joke.

I found the concept for these products incredibly cool. Everyone has their own inner superhero and I loved the idea of something as simple (and useful) as a lip balm giving you a boost in confidence.

What?!

The only thing I had struggled with was its massive size. I had to maneuver it in a way that wouldn’t spread all over the lower half of my face.

But once I got the hang of it, 👌👌👌!

I want to give a HUGE thank you to Lip Smacker for being so generous in allowing me to review their products!

They were all awesome and I hope we get to work together again soon 🤗

Make sure to check out my other review on another Lip Smacker product!

The Spiderman one is a pomegranate flavor.

The color of the balm is light red and is the size of a pepper spray! Also, if I were a superhero I’d probably be a lot like Spiderman (in terms of humor).

I found the concept for these products incredibly cool. Everyone has their own inner superhero and I loved the idea of something as simple (and useful) as a lip balm giving you a boost in confidence.

The Hulk one is a sour apple flavor.

The color of the balm is light green and is the size of a pepper spray! Also, the Hulk is probably the most relatable character. We’ve all experienced moments of rage 😤.

I found the concept for these products incredibly cool. Everyone has their own inner superhero and I loved the idea of something as simple (and useful) as a lip balm giving you a boost in confidence.

This time I was given the Marvel Mega Balm Bundle, which, I must say, is awesome! The first one I’ll be reviewing is the Holiday Captain America Biggy.

Lip balm from Lip Smacker.

The Captain America one has a nice berry flavor.

The color of the balm is light blue and is the size of a pepper spray! Also, the flavor of this balm is my favorite out of the bundle.

I found the concept for these products incredibly cool. Everyone has their own inner superhero and I loved the idea of something as simple (and useful) as a lip balm giving you a boost in confidence.

Muack!

I was drawn to the perfume’s title, Book by Commodity.

The scent of a new book’s pages is honestly, in my opinion, the best thing ever. That and also the smell of hot cocoa.

Perfume from Scent Bird.

The perfume is unisex so it doesn’t have an incredibly floral aroma like most women’s fragrances do.

It has a woodsy smell with a mix of minty cucumber.

Which, I have to say, I’m in love with!

I went on the Scent Bird website to see any other extra details about the perfume.

It gave the various ingredients, inspiration, most appropriate setting and season, and other cool tidbits.

It’s a woody scent type for those more on the casual side. It’s great for a hang out environment and perfect for the fall season. It was inspired by acclaimed authors Hemingway and Fitzgerald, and is part of Commodity’s  Black Collection which is for the “complex, intense, and moody.” If that doesn’t sound like you then I’d check out its counterpart, the White Collection, which is for the “light, airy, and easy.”

The perfume’s main ingredients are cucumber, cypress, vetiver (I had no idea what that was until now), sandalwood, and Tolu balsam (which I had no idea what was either).

I’d like to thank Scent Bird for giving me the opportunity to try out their product! I absolutely love the scent and the idea of the whole Black and White Collections in general.

With my buddy.

I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to try Lip Smacker’s Tsum Tsum- Cheshire Cat Plumberry Wonderland.

I’ve had a soft spot for the Cheshire Cat ever since I played his head in my school’s Alice in Wonderland Jr. Musical.

Yes, you read correctly. I only played his head, his body and tail were done by two other girls. I always thought it was funny since they were Caucasian and I’m, well, clearly Asian. So various body parts are of different ethnicities and race.

If you’re the type of person who isn’t into lipstick but has an affinity for all things quirky, then you’ll love Lip Smacker products.

They have products that are inspired by various things such as Disney characters, Marvel characters, the Nightmare Before Christmas, and many many more.

I’ve always been apprehensive when it comes to lip balms. Normally they’re as adorable as they are ineffective. But I was pleased to discover that the Cat is both cute and works.

This is the last edition of a three-part collaboration with Jodie’s Touch of Style and Sheela Writes. The idea was to showcase various ways of dressing with menswear. Also, though unintentional, it is a collaboration amongst mothers and daughters ❤️

The last of the series is to wear men’s jewelry.

🎧You gotta keep ya head up🎧

I think we can all agree that this presidential election has been the epitome of an emotional train wreck.

If you’ve read my previous post, you’d know that I’m a Clinton supporter. My entire family is. The night of the final results was a devastating blow, but it didn’t hit me just how divided America truly is until the hate crimes started to occur.

It’s one thing to not understand others that are different from you, whether physically or in beliefs, but to assault others and threaten their lives is uncalled for. There are incidents that have taken place across the United States. Incidents that have included the desecration of religious monuments, assaults on Muslim women, threats against Hispanics from their own coworkers, and countless others.

I have never been so terrified of being a female Asian immigrant in my entire life. I never thought of it as something that could possibly put myself in jeopardy. I had never seen myself as different. Until now.

But I refuse to let that affect me negatively.

Being different is good. And I hope anyone who is currently feeling the same fears and facing the same uncertainties as I do, will not be ashamed or afraid to live their lives fearlessly despite the perils that may lie ahead.

img_9369
Fight.
img_9366
Stand strong. Stay strong.

It’s not the results that upset me the most, but how this country keeps repeating the same old pattern.

One step forward, two steps back.

America elected its first African American president in 2009.

Seven years later this same country decided to have a white supremacist as its president, who also happens to be racist and sexist.

It’s discouraging.

Gandhi once said, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”

I plan to do just that.

Everyday to the best of my ability, no matter what may come.

Will you?
